GETTING YOUR VEHICLE REPAIRED OR REPLACED
QUESTION: Will the insurance company for the driver who caused the collision pay to fix my vehicle.
BASIC RULE: YES. If the insurance company agrees that it's insured is at fault in causing the accident, they will usually have the cost of repairing your vehicle estimated and agree to pay for the repairs.
EXCEPTION: If the cost to repair the vehicle is almost as much as or is more than the value of the vehicle, they will not agree to repair it, but will offer you what they say the value of your vehicle was before the collision. Often there is a disagreement as to what that value is. WE CAN HELP you determine if they are offering a fair amount and provide help in making sure that they do pay you a fair amount for your vehicle.
